What we like the most is the relaxed mentality of the locals, the lovely climate, the beautiful bays, the amazing dive locations and the nature. There is no stress and there are no traffic jams. You are about 6000 miles from Holland but it still feels very Dutch. Both KLM and ArkeFly fly directly from The Netherlands.

Because Curacao is so close to the equator, the sunset is at about 7 pm and the sunrise is at about 6 am. There are no real seasons but from October till December there is a good chance of some rain. The rain is very local, short in duration but intense. There is the ever-present Easterly wind that provides a nice cool down.

The temperature is usually around 86 F (30 C) en de water temperature about 82 F (28 C). For people that like to skip winter or people with health problems this is the perfect climate. You can always sit outdoor and it doesn’t matter if it’s evening or night, you can leave your sweater, vest and woolen socks at home!!
